MEET DAN

Hey, I'm DAN

In case you missed it, my name’s Dan and I’m a Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Wedding photographer. If you want to know a bit more about me then you’re in the right place. I believe its so important for you to know your photographer as much as they know you so have a little read and find out some more about me!

I’ve always loved photography since a young age, and always found capturing the world a great way to spend my time! It didn’t take long for me to realise that I loved capturing special moments, especially people, and you can see that in my own personal Polaroid collection below; it became a quick realisation that it was the stories the pictures held that meant so much to me. And what better story to tell than the one of your wedding day? It's an honour to be able to help couples preserve the most important day of their lives in a way that feels genuine, joyful, and true to who they are.

On your wedding day, my approach is simple: I want you to feel like yourselves. From the ceremony to the party, I aim to capture the entire day while making sure you feel completely comfortable. I’ll be there to capture the big moments and the subtle, quiet ones too, often in a way that you might not even notice. Like a photo ninja, I’ll move through the day, unobtrusively and with a smile, so that you can stay in the moment and enjoy everything as it unfolds.

Your wedding day is such a huge milestone in your life, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it. I take that responsibility seriously, and my goal is always to provide you with a collection of photos that bring those memories flooding back every time you look at them.

Thank you for considering me to capture your wedding day. I can’t wait to be a part of your journey.

Apart from taking photos, what else do I lIke?

Lego

I loved it as a child, I love it as an adult. Building Lego is one of my all time favourite things to do to unwind, relax and just switch off for an hour or two. My only problem is where to display them once they’re built.

Cocktails

Beginning in 2020 as a small project of making a home bar, over the years it has evolved into an entire speakeasy (or 'The Spookeasy' as its official name). The combination of flavours for cocktails and just how fun they are to make is made both my wife and I fall in love with cocktail making, so much so that our table names at our wedding were named after our favourite cocktails.

BBQ

During the great lockdown of 2020 many people took to using their new found time to exercise, eat healthy and learn new skills; I found out that having 8 hours free in the day meant you can put a lump of pork in a BBQ and smoke it all day for an incredible dinner that night. Yes it does mean getting up at 7am and lighting a barbeque, do you look crazy, yes, but it was the beginning of a new love of cooking and since then I have made VERY good friends with my local butchers!

York

Whilst I live near Cambridge, my all time favourite city is York. I have a strong connection to York as I got engaged there back in 2018, and then returned for our mini-moon, and have tried to return back at least once a year.

The York Ghost Merchants

Because of my love for York, I also have a love for the York Ghost Merchants; if you’ve never heard of them before its a small shop on the famous York Shambles that sell, you guessed it, ghosts. They’re small, quirky and each one is unique, and I love collecting them every time I go to York.
